New Children's class We have a new class for children starting on Saturday 23rd February. The class will cover ballroom, latin and disco. Please contact the dancentre for more information or see our lessons page.
We have new classes starting January 2013! Seen Strictly Come Dancing, fancy trying it yourself. Dancing is fun, good exercise and a great way to meet people. Make a New Years resolution to do something new and come along to one of out beginners classes on a Wednesday or Thursday evening, in Bath and Paulton respectively. Important Announcement: We have a new venue for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday night classes in Bath. From 2nd January these will take place at La Scala, 1st Floor, Shaftesbury Road, Bath, BA2 3LH. The venue is above the Co-Operative supermarket. Please note that the classes in Paulton and Midsomer Norton remain at their same venues.
We run a Childrens freestyle dance class that covers street, urban, hip-hop and rock 'n' roll. This class is on Wednesday evenings in Paulton. General childrens classes take place on Saturday morning in Bath and Saturday afternoon in Midsomer Norton. Classes cover Ballroom, Latin and Disco. Please see the lessons for more details.
Are you getting married? We offer private lessons to make that first dance extra special. We have many years of teaching experience, at all levels. We can help with complete novices who are nervous about even dancing right up to a bespoke routine to impress your guests with your skill on the dance floor. The Bath Dancentre was the winner of the inaugural Bath Life Awards in the Arts category. Congratulations to Paula and all the Dancentre staff for this achievement.
Paula and all the staff at the Dancentre would like to congratulate all the students from the University of Bath Latin and Ballroom Dancesport team for their success at the IVDA National championships. The team were ranked 5th in the UK overall which is an outstanding achievement. Additionally Dan Taylor and Sarah Smith won the Intermediate Ballroom event, whilst Hayden Phyo and Nicole Hurley won the Novice Latin event. This is the first time in the University's 25 year history of dancesport that anyone has won an individual event at the Nationals. Congratulations to all.
